One tap of an event pass on a phone can bring up your web page. At the front desk, a member taps the same style of card to sign in. We make custom printed NFC cards for both, and our NFC card printing is made to order for the chip your system reads.

NFC Cards at 13.56MHz or RFID at 125kHz?

A card with the wrong chip will not open a door, however good the artwork looks. So we match the chip to the job: door access, membership sign-in, logging actions at work or stock and inventory.

A printed or plain card that opens a web page, calls or texts needs an NFC chip, which works at 13.56MHz. Some scanners read at 125kHz instead, and a card made for one carries an RFID chip, not NFC.

If your NZ site already runs a scanner, every RFID card we make for it is matched to that reader's make and model. For staff cards, the rest of our staff ID range includes retractable badge reels to wear them on.

Our RFID and NFC Card Range, Product by Product

Our range holds five cards, two stickers and one stand.

1K Mifare RFID Cards 0.84mm

These blank cards suit a site that prints its own passes on a PPC, Evolis, Zebra, Brady or similar card printer. Each Mifare card is white gloss, printable on both sides, in CR80 at 85 x 54mm.

Its 1K Mifare classic chip runs at 13.56MHz with read and write. First check that your printer takes 1K Mifare classic and what card thickness it feeds.

Printed Flat RFID Card

Event passes and member cards suit this one, with your design in full colour on both sides. This style of custom NFC cards comes in CR79, CR80, 54 x 29mm or a custom size.

Choose NFC at 13.56MHz when a tap should open a web page, start a call or send an SMS. For a door or sign-in scanner, we fit the chip it reads.

Printed Clamshell Style RFID Card

Clamshell is our second card style, made in one size, CR80. Full colour branding runs on both sides, so your logo can sit on the front and your contact details on the back.

It suits a site that gives staff and members one standard card. We make the chip to order, at 13.56MHz for NFC or 125kHz for an RFID reader.

Printed Flat Sticker RFID Card

This is our printed flat card in sticker form, so the chip sticks onto an item instead of travelling as a loose card. It comes in the same sizes: CR79, CR80, 54 x 29mm or a custom size.

Full colour branding is available on both sides. The chip is made to order, either NFC at 13.56MHz or RFID at 125kHz.

Plain Flat RFID Card

This card comes without print, which suits spare cards, contractor passes or a box of replacements. You can order it in CR79, CR80, 54 x 29mm or a size made for you.

We make the chip to order to match your scanner. With an NFC chip, a plain card can still open a web page when someone taps it with a phone.

Plain Clamshell Style RFID Card

This is our clamshell card without print, in CR80 only. It suits a site that already uses clamshell cards and needs more with a matching chip.

Tell us your scanner's make and model, and we supply the chip at 13.56MHz or 125kHz to suit it. If some staff need branded cards, the printed clamshell card shares the same size and chip choices.

RFID Stickers

These stickers attach to any product, so the chip goes onto stock or equipment rather than into a wallet. We make them 20 or 25mm as standard, 1mm thick, or to a custom shape and size.

Each one is printed in CMYK full colour digital with your logo. Stock and inventory tracking is a typical use, and each chip is matched to your scanner.

NFC Review Stand

This PVC stand holds an NTAG chip, model 213, 215 or 216, that responds within 1 to 3cm. Use it on a counter to show a menu or a promotion, with custom printing to match your brand.

It is waterproof and weatherproof. That suits a cafe or bar, where the stand sits among spilt drinks or out on a terrace in the rain.

RFID Cards Compared by Size, Chip and Print

Six of the eight share one made-to-order chip choice, so size and print set them apart.

NFC Card Printing and Artwork

Custom RFID cards for a door scanner get the same RFID card printing as our NFC versions, since only the chip changes. Ordering runs in three steps:

  • Send a sketch, your design files or a short description.
  • Approve the production-ready artwork our designers send back.
  • We print and ship NFC cards NZ wide, direct from our factory to your door.

Order Cards That Work on Day One

When a new door system goes live, staff need cards that day, and every product here has a rush option. A misplaced logo gets fixed before printing, because you sign off a virtual mock-up from our free artwork service. Your scanner model matters as much as the artwork, so forward both and tell us the quantity and go-live date when you ask us to quote your cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will your cards work with the scanner we already have?

Yes, once you tell us its make and model, because our printed, plain and sticker cards are made to order around it. We supply chips at 13.56MHz and 125kHz. Only the 13.56MHz chip is NFC, while a 125kHz card carries an RFID chip.

Which card printers take your 1K Mifare cards?

Most card printers do, including PPC, Evolis, Zebra and Brady models. Before you order, make sure your printer supports 1K Mifare classic and the thickest card it will feed. For cards we print for you, choose a printed flat or clamshell card instead.

How big are your custom NFC cards?

Our flat cards, printed or plain, come in CR79, CR80, 54 x 29mm or your own size. Both clamshell cards are CR80, which measures 85 x 54mm. The smallest option is a sticker, 20 or 25mm as standard and 1mm thick.

What artwork should we send for two-sided cards?

Ai, EPS or PDF files work best, as vector artwork scales cleanly onto a small card. Send a design for each side, with fonts outlined and images embedded. A PNG, JPG or PSD also works, since our designers redraw it by hand in vector form.
